Where to find all bosses in Romestead
As mentioned earlier, Romestead’s Early Access version features not only the bosses that were available in the demo but also several new additions. Here are all the bosses you can currently encounter in the game:
- Guardian of Minerva
- Pyzifax
- The Eye
- Great Phoenix of Arabia
Below are further details on them.
Guardian of Minerva

The Guardian of Minerva is the first boss you will encounter in Romestead. Moreover, defeating it is essential for gameplay progression and obtaining the Guardian’s Eye. To summon this giant owl, you need to break the three eggs found inside its abode. The nest is in the top-left corner of the map, and its exact position is marked in the image above. Simply head to the marked location to begin the encounter.

Additionally, when starting a new world, you may occasionally notice a giant shadow moving across the sky. Following it will lead you directly to the Guardian of Minerva’s nest. Once you arrive, destroy the three eggs to spawn the boss. Since the area is filled with wild pigs, the encounter can quickly become overwhelming. It is best to use a ranged weapon to clear them out before turning your attention to the boss.
Pyzifax

Pyzifax is one of the two bosses found in the Desert Biome. It is located at the center of a large cedar compound. Once you arrive there, enter the dungeon inside the area and follow the path. Turn right, continue to the end, then take a left and proceed through the corridor until you reach the final chamber.
In the middle of the room, you will find a red-colored box. Now, break it to trigger the boss encounter. Once destroyed, Pyzifax will emerge and attack you. The enemy resembles a large ogre-like creature, with a bulky build, a thick beard, a hairy body, and prominent horns.

Cyclops

Similar to Pyzifax, the Cyclops is a boss found in the Desert Region. Interestingly, this is one of the few encounters tied directly to the main storyline, making it unavoidable for all players. During the Virgil’s Poem quest, you will eventually reach the deeper parts of the biome and discover the Eye Dungeon. At the end of the area awaits the Cyclops, a massive one-eyed monster with 10,000 HP.
Great Phoenix of Arabia

The Great Phoenix of Arabia is the newly added boss in Romestead. You can find it in the Volcano Biome, specifically in the southern interior region near the lava fields. Additionally, refer to the marker in the image attached above for better guidance.

Once you reach the area, you will need to find an altar-like structure surrounded by stones. After that, destroy it to summon the boss, which resembles a massive fiery bird.
The fight consists of two stages, with the second phase offering an even more dangerous challenge. Defeating the Great Phoenix of Arabia is no easy task due to its enormous health pool, powerful attacks, and high mobility throughout the encounter.
