Pokemon TCG Pocket Paradox Drive (B3a) is the game’s newest mini-expansion, putting a major spotlight on Gen IX’s Paradox Pokemon. The expansion introduces 109 new cards, bringing several fan-favorites from Area Zero into the mobile card game for the first time.
Koraidon and Miraidon lead the way as the set’s mascots, but the expansion gives attention to many other Pokemon outside of these two. Some cards are designed to strengthen the new Future and Ancient categories, while others fit naturally into other existing decks.
Here are the five best cards from Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Paradox Drive expansion, ranked.
Best cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket Paradox Drive, ranked competitively
5) Glimmora

Glimmora’s Ability, Shattering Crystal, is unique. When Glimmora is Knocked Out, there is a chance your opponent receives no points for it, if you get heads on a coin flip. Although coin-flip mechanics are not generally reliable in the game, having a 50-50 chance of denying points can completely alter the pace of a match.
This also creates crucial breathing room to setup other cards in our play when needed.

4) Iron Valiant

Iron Valiant stands out for its support role instead of raw damage output. Its move, Slicing Blade, deals decent damage, but the real highlight is the Ability Future System. This Ability lowers the Energy cost of attacks used by Future Paradox Pokemon.
Cards that accelerate tempo are always useful in Pokemon TCG Pocket, and Iron Valiant does exactly that to a platehora of new cards. By sitting safely on the Bench, it allows main attackers to come online faster.

3) Koraidon ex

As one of the expansion’s mascots, Koraidon ex is a high-risk, high-reward card. Its Ability, Legendary Drive, triggers when the card is placed on the Bench from your hand. You can immediately switch it into the Active Spot and transfer all Energy from other Pokemon in play onto it.
This makes this card an excellent finisher card. However, the Ability can be awkward if only Koraidon ex can be played in the opening turns. Despite that drawback, its attack, World Wrecker, gives Koraidon ex a consistent offensive value for three Energy.
The card is not flawless, but in the right situation, it can completely take command.

2) Miraidon ex

Miraidon ex shares the same Legendary Drive Ability as Koraidon ex, but its damage potential places it slightly higher in the rankings. Its attack, Hadron Ray, has a base damage of 20 but gains +20 with each Lightning Energy attached to it.
This scaling becomes efficient when paired with many existing Energy acceleration cards such as Zeraora, Electric Generator and Magneton (Genetic Apex).
Unlike Koraidon ex, Miraidon ex fits more naturally into existing Lightning decks, making it both more flexible overall. Additionally, being a Future Paradox, Miraidon ex benefits from Iron Valiant as well.

1) Terapagos ex

Terapagos ex takes the top spot because of its incredible damage potential and flexible deck synergy. Its attack, Prism Impact, already starts with solid 80 base damage, but the attack becomes stronger for every different type of Energy attached to the Pokemon.
This allows Terapagos ex to work alongside several existing support cards like Magby, Mantyke, Ho-Oh ex, and even the newly introduced Sableye.
Terapagos ex naturally scales its damage up as the game progresses. With the right setup, it can become one of the hardest-hitting attackers in the upcoming meta.
