Christian Cage has been known to deliver some scratching comments during his AEW tenure. He seemingly crossed the line when he openly stated that he had his fair share of fun with the mothers of two former WWE stars.

On the April 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Patriarch and his partner, Adam Copeland, came down to the ring to deliver a message for FTR. Both sides are set to collide for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at the upcoming Dynasty 2026 pay-per-view. The iconic tag team fired huge shots at Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, until Christian Cage grabbed the mic and took it too far.

The former WWE World Champion said that FTR managed to get under the skin of not only him and Cope, but the entire country of Canada. He further added that, as everybody’s favorite father figure, he had to pay a visit to both of their mothers because they had been so naughty. However, he clarified that the visit was strictly to bang them, leaving everyone in shock.

“You’ve been very, very naughty. So naughty in fact I was forced to pay a visit to both of your mothers. And just so there’s no confusion, when I say pay a visit, I mean I banged them both.”- H/T WrestlePurists on X

Christian Cage had to pay a huge price for his words on AEW Dynamite

Christian Cage’s words led to him suffering a huge beatdown at the hands of FTR and their new allies, RPG Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta). After him and Cope fired scratching remarks against them, Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood, and Stockley marched down to the ring with RPG Vice.

The former Edge and Christian tried valiantly to fight back, but succumbed to the numbers game. Cope was taken down outside the ring when Romero hit him with the chair, and Beretta launched a knee strike through the chair on his face. The four of them then overpowered Christian inside the ring and trapped his arm in the chair. Following that, Wheeler dropped his leg on his arm from the top rope, inflicting major damage.

With the former WWE star possibly sustaining an injury, it remains to be seen if it will affect his status for AEW Dynasty this Sunday.
