Jannik Sinner and his girlfriend Laila Hasanovic’s respective career triumphs on the same day made it a memorable weekend for the couple. The former won the title at the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells on Sunday, March 17, while the latter successfully unveiled her new business later in the day.

Sinner beat Daniil Medvedev 7-6 (6), 7-6 (4) in the Indian Wells final to claim his first title at the tournament. It also marked his first title of the season, his sixth Masters 1000 title, and the 25th title of his career. He also became the youngest man to win all important hardcourt tournaments, the six Masters 1000 events on the surface, the ATP Finals, as well as the Australian Open and the US Open.

Hasanovic, a successful model, knows a thing or two about taking good care of one’s skin. Being in the fashion industry made her keenly aware of the same, and she was thus inspired to come up with her own skincare line. She launched her own brand, NRD°55, on March 17, in Denmark, Copenhagen, and shared a few photos from the launch party on Instagram.

“From last night’s celebration 🥰🥰🥰,” Hasanovic posted on Instagram.

Unfortunately, the two lovebirds couldn’t be together to celebrate this important career milestone in their respective careers. Hasanovic will aim to join Sinner as he aims to unlock another career achievement at his next tournament, the Miami Open.

Jannik Sinner could become the latest player to complete the coveted “Sunshine Double”. The feat is accomplished when a player wins the Indian Wells and Miami titles consecutively. The Italian is already halfway there thanks to his latest victory at Indian Wells.

Sinner could become the eighth man in history to attain the feat. Novak Djokovic remains the most recent player to do so, when he swept both titles for the fourth time in his career in 2016.

Sinner has usually performed quite well at the Miami Open. He fell shy of lifting the winner’s trophy in 2021 and 2023, going down to Hubert Hurkacz and Daniil Medvedev respectively in the finals. He tasted success for the first time in 2024, beating Grigor Dimitrov in the summit clash to win the title. The Italian will learn about his path to this year’s title when the draw is revealed on Monday, March 16.
