Ana Kasparian has responded to Emily Austin’s recent roast about the former’s absence from the Met Gala. For the unversed, the Met Gala (also called Costume Institute Benefit) is an annual event organized to raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

As per reports, Ana Kasparian did not attend this year’s Met Gala, which was held on Monday, May 4. Emily Austin seemingly trolled her absence by claiming that the Young Turks executive had attended the event, and then showing footage of a cockroach.

“I was really upset last night. Because Ana Kasparian was invited to the Met Gala, but I wasn’t,” she quipped on X.

She also implored the viewers to “look at the grand arrival” before cutting the clip to show the footage of a cockroach climbing up the Met Gala steps.

“Look at that. So much attention. So much attention for Ana Kasparian and I wasn’t invited. Why are we cheering for her?” she concluded.

On May 6, Kasparian took to X to respond to Austin’s comments. The former called her “Israel defender” and claimed her dig was “embarassing.”

“She already tested this zinger out last night and I chose to ignore it. But I guess she really wants my attention. Emily has never once dismantled a single one of my arguments. But much like Adam Sosnick’s tampon stunt, most of Israel’s defenders will consider just about anything outside of sound argumentation. This is just embarrassing,” wrote Kasparian on X.

The response has gone viral on X, amassing over 229k views and crossing 8k likes.

Emily Austin reacted to Ana Kasparian’s response to her Met Gala dig on the same day. In the comment section to Kasparian’s tweet, she claimed “nothing is more embarassing” than her allegedly “filthy mouth.”

“Never dismantled an argument?? Your go-to is cursing people out & having mental breakdowns when debates don’t go your way. Of course on Her Take they cut out your tantrums, but most people have seen them by now. Nothing is more embarrassing than your filthy mouth,” wrote Austin.

Blunt’s comments seemingly refer to their public feud when they appeared on Her Take. While talking about the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, the two got involved in a fierce debate.

Austin’s cockroach joke was also criticized by Cenk Uygur, the founder and CEO of The Young Turks. While he conceded that there would be “zero consequences” to her words, the same would be a “career-ender” if she did the same about a Jewish person.

“Career-ender if you do this same exact video about a Jewish person. No one in their right mind can dispute that. Watch, there will be zero consequences, no one will be canceled, there will be no demands to distance yourself from her. The double standard is to just rub it in more,” wrote Cenk on X.

It remains to be seen if the ongoing feud between Emily Austin and Ana Kasparian escalates any further over the next few days.
