Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has three Super Bowl rings to his name and is on the fast track to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but his popularity among fans seems to have taken a hit.
After having the fourth-most-popular NFL jersey by total sales in 2023, the year he and Taylor Swift began dating, Kelce, 36, has fallen all the way out of the top 25 on the list of officially licensed NFL player products and merchandise sales for the 2025-26 season.
According to data released by the NFL Players Association, Kelce had the 29th-most sales, just behind Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jaxson Dart of the New York Giants. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen took the No. 1 spot, while New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye came in just behind him.
Kelce fell out of the top 10 last year, landing at No. 11 overall.
“Fans have more choices than ever when it comes to the players they follow and support, and the Year-End Top 50 gives us a real look at who they’re showing up for,” Matt Curtin, President of NFL Players Inc, said in a release. “This isn’t just about jerseys. It’s about the products fans choose to buy, collect, wear, and display every day. The rankings help show which players are breaking through, building strong connections with fans, and driving demand throughout the licensed products business.”
Kelce is coming off of a pair of rough statistical seasons, made worse by the Chiefs’ prolific on-field struggles in 2025-26. Kansas City missed the playoffs entirely last season after playing in the Super Bowl in five of the previous six years.
But selling fewer jerseys probably isn’t at the top of Kelce’s list of concerns. The 11-time Pro Bowler is getting ready to marry Swift, 36, in a ceremony rumored to be slated for Madison Square Garden in the coming weeks.
Professionally, the Ohio native announced in May that he has joined the ownership group of Major League Baseball’s Cleveland Guardians.
“I have so much love for this city,” Kelce told ESPN. “I say it all the time: I’m just a kid from the Heights living the dream. I credit every good thing in my life to Cleveland and being raised here with the values and the people and the work ethic. Cleveland Heights is such a diverse and dynamic place. Every friend, neighbor, teacher and teammate — they all made me the man I am today. It just fueled such a deep appreciation for life and community and service. That mentality of Cleveland against the world runs deep.”
Kelce is now the second member of the Chiefs to have an ownership stake in an MLB team, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes owning a minority stake in the Kansas City Royals.
“We’re both as competitive as it gets, so you know there will be some bragging rights on the line when we play our division games,” Kelce said. “But I really have a lot of respect for the Royals and their organization. It was a fun time in Kansas City cheering them on for their World Series win in 2015.”
