Donald Trump came under fire from Mary Trump on Wednesday following the New York Knicks’ Game 4 win over the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals. The president had attended the previous game at Madison Square Garden, where the Knicks lost 115-111, prompting his niece to suggest he may have been the reason behind that defeat.
The author took a shot at Trump after the Knicks’ historic 29-point comeback win, sharing an NSFW-filled remark on X (formerly Twitter).
Thanks for the submission!
“This is what happens when Donald stays the f*ck out of New York. Go Knicks!” she tweeted.

An outspoken critic of the president, Mary Trump has built a public profile opposing her uncle and the Trump family, including writing multiple books about her experiences growing up around them. Her latest post apparently continued that stance, as she seemed to imply that the Knicks’ loss on Monday was linked to Donald Trump’s presence at MSG.
New York suffered its first loss in over 40 days with POTUS in attendance, then secured a historic comeback in his absence. Having struggled to get going in the first half and trailing by 29 points, the Knicks seemed destined for another defeat.
Despite being blown out early, New York produced a massive second-half performance, outscoring the Spurs in the final two quarters before OG Anunoby’s last-second putback secured a one-point victory. New York, overcoming a 29-point deficit, eclipsed the previous NBA Finals record set by the Boston Celtics, who came back after being 24 points down.
The 107-106 win leaves the Knicks one game away from clinching the NBA title, with a chance to seal it on the road on Saturday.
Donald Trump shares honest take on NBA following Game 3 appearance
Donald Trump showed love to his hometown team, the New York Knicks, on Monday during their Game 3 matchup against the San Antonio Spurs. The president sat beside Knicks owner James Dolan during his appearance as the teams played an entertaining game.
After the contest, Trump offered his thoughts on the NBA, claiming the league had become more “physical” while also reflecting on his conversation with commissioner Adam Silver.
“He (Silver) came over to pay his respects,” Trump said. “We spoke briefly about the NBA and how the game has changed. I mentioned that it’s become more physical, which I think is a good thing … I don’t remember it being like this 10 years ago.”
While he was unable to witness the Knicks win live, the president will be over the moon tonight as New York edges closer to securing the NBA title with a win in Game 4.
