Julia Louis-Dreyfus‘ son Charlie Hall digs deeper into the mystery at the center of Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.
In Us Weekly‘s exclusive clip from the Wednesday, June 3, episode of the Apple TV show, Geri (Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg) updates Rudy (Hall) about the new information she acquires about their coworker Paula (Tatiana Maslany).
“I found Paula’s camboy,” she tells Rudy, who initially refuses to look at the photos on her phone because it is “too early for dick pics.”
Geri assures Rudy that she doesn’t have any explicit photos. She then shows various highlights from camboy Trevor’s social media before stopping on a graphic photo.
“I said no d*** pics,” Rudy replies. Geri then asks if he notices “anything weird about it.” After Rudy says he doesn’t, Geri jokes that she just wanted “to make sure you got a good look” at Trevor naked.
“Here’s where it gets juicy,” Geri continues before Rudy quips, “It already looked juicy.”
The pair ultimately realize Trevor died after forming a connection with Paula.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, which airs new episodes every Wednesday, follows a divorced single mother and professional fact-checker, who is in the middle of a custody battle when she starts to look into the murder of a camboy she previously spoke to.
“It was so much fun because there’s so much going on for Paula in her life. But then also as a character, she’s just a chaotic person,” Maslany, 40, exclusively told Us. “There’s a huge storm inside of her. She has a lot of rage, she has a lot of desire and we see that very quickly that it gets her in trouble.”
Maslany wouldn’t give away where things are heading, adding, “Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, whether she should watch what she’s doing or whether she should be allowed to be free is a question. But I do think that she definitely has a recklessness to her.”
She continued: “For me to play a character like that is very fun because you have license to push the edges of extreme volatility. That’s fun as a character to have somebody else think that [she’s crazy because] that gives me a lot of space to play.”
In addition to Maslany, Hall and Hamagami Goldberg, the show stars Jake Johnson, Jessy Hodges, Jon Michael Hill, Nola Wallace and Dolly de Leon.
Brandon Flynn, Murray Bartlett and Daniel Dale make up the rest of the cast.
