Ahead of this weekend’s NHRA Potomac Nationals at Maryland International Raceway, Tony Stewart honored Busch by placing a special #8 Kyle Busch decal on his R&L Carriers Top Fuel Dragster. The tribute came in the wake of Busch’s devastating loss at age 41 last week. The racing world is remembering him, and Stewart chooses to carry the remembrance of the former #8 Richard Childress Racing driver onto the drag strip.

Tony Stewart shares emotional tribute to Kyle Busch’s sudden death
Former NASCAR champion and team co-owner Tony Stewart left devastated as Kyle Busch’s death leaves a massive void in the NASCAR world.
Stewart and Busch had a storied history as fierce competitors and even spent time as teammates in the Cup Series. Following the tragedy, the three-time Cup champion released an emotional statement praising Busch as one of a kind and noting that even his haters would sorely miss him on the track.
In a statement, Stewart said:
“Kyle Busch was a fierce competitor. He was strong-willed, confident not only in his ability behind the wheel, but in his opinions. He held his own and didn’t mince words,”
