Charlotte Flair has revealed that WWE turned down her request. The 40-year-old star has been a big part of the promotion’s women’s division for over a decade and continues to be among the top names.
The Queen has been through quite a few character overhauls in her career, and her work as a heel has always stood out. During her 2021 run as the SmackDown Women’s Champion, she began using the catchphrase, “Uh-oh,” during her promos.

The catchphrase quickly became popular with the fans, and recently in an interview on Ring the Belle, she revealed that it was a last-minute addition to one of her promo segments on the blue brand.
“Dude, ‘uh-oh’ was good. And that was like a last-minute addition. And had I won, I really could have, like, grabbed the mic and been like, ‘uh-oh.’ It was so good. It was so good,” she said.
She was then asked why she never brought it back, since it was quite infamous and became iconic. Flair said that she pushed for its return, but WWE rejected her request.
“I think I tried to, and they shut it down. But it really was situational. That was like one of those things that I don’t know if, like, would that have worked in a different — I mean, I don’t know. I think that’s what made it so great is ’cause it’s so random,” she added.
Charlotte Flair backed to surpass John Cena’s WWE record
Since last year, Charlotte Flair has been a part of the women’s tag team division and barely featured in the main event scene. This is rare for a woman who has 14 World Titles to her name.
With the tag team division her current, a fan on K100 with Konnan and Disco Inferno questioned whether she was in the final stage of her in-ring career. The former WCW star said Flair is still good in the ring and can easily handle being in the spotlight.
He compared her to her father and said he could see Charlotte Flair have a couple of more title runs and possibly surpass John Cena’s record of 17 World Championships.
