Bryce Harper recently drew negative attention on social media after sharing a TikTok video of his morning routine on Monday. The Philadelphia Phillies’ first baseman quickly went viral, with fans heavily criticizing the clip online.
During the livestream, fans called out the way Harper applied toothpaste, as he was seen putting the tube directly into his mouth instead of using a toothbrush first. While many viewers mocked the habit online, others defended him, saying the reaction was being blown out of proportion.

“What a madman.”
“Dude needs to worry about hitting and stop making stupid TikToks.”
“This is milk-before-cereal level. He’s a serial killer.”
“Been doing that my whole life lol.”
“Unsanitary if you share a toothpaste with others, green light if it’s just yours.”

It’s a therapeutic treatment that involves ⅓ of the blood drawn from the body, filtered externally and then returned to the bloodstream.
Bryce Harper reveals conditions for potential Home Run Derby participation
According to The Inquirer, Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper will compete in the Home Run Derby only if he’s an All-Star. He said there’s still time left for the All-Star game, till then he’ll give his best on the field to able to participate.
“I won’t do [the Derby] if I’m not an All-Star. I just want to be an All-Star, first and foremost. And I want to be healthy. I’m going to take health into consideration, big time, because I feel great right now, and I don’t want to screw that up. So we’ll see,” Bryce Harper said.
Harper further added that “it’d be a lot of fun” if he got to compete with Kyle Schwarber in the Home Run Derby. As of 2026, he has recorded 12 HR’s, with a .269 batting average and a .878 OPS.
