Thanks for the submission!
1. Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Aleksandar Kovacevic

Felix Auger-Aliassime entered the 2026 Hamburg Open on the back of a chastening second-round loss to Mariano Navone in Rome. However, the World No. 5 Canadian bounced back to form in his Hamburg opener, as he dispatched Vit Kopriva of Czechia 7-5, 6-1.
Meanwhile, Aleksandar Kovacevic, the World No. 94 from the United States, after gaining entry into the Hamburg main draw as a lucky loser, defeated Arthur Gea of France in the first round. Interestingly, it was Gea who beat Kovacevic in the second-round of qualifying matches.
Auger-Aliassime is the favorite to progress to the quarterfinals given the Canadian’s greater experience and success at ATP 500-level events over the years. He also leads the head-to-head against Kovacevic 2-0.
Predicted winner: Felix Auger-Aliassime
2. Camilo Ugo Carabelli vs Frances Tiafoe

Camilo Ugo Carabelli, the 26-year-old Argentine, looked in deep trouble in his first-round outing in Hamburg after Kamil Majchrzak of Poland took the first set 6-1. However, the World No. 68 came back roaring into the contest, eventually condemning Majchrzak to a three-set defeat.
Frances Tiafoe, the World No. 21, was made to work hard by home hope Diego Dedura in the first round, but the American ultimately came out on top with a 6-4, 6-4 win. Tiafoe and Carabelli are set to play against each other for the first time in Hamburg.
While the American is the favorite on paper to secure progress to the quarterfinals, the Argentine could very well produce an upset. Carabelli has played more competitive matches on clay this year and picked up a number of promising results (Grand Prix Hassan II semifinalist, Valencia Challenger quarterfinalist).
Predicted winner: Camilo Ugo Carabelli
