A former WWE star recently made a major announcement regarding his future. The former NXT star is now set to make his debut for a brand-new Indian Wrestling Promotion known as Pro Wrestling Rebellion. The star in question is none other than Dominik Dijakovic aka Dijak who currently holds the Major League Wrestling Tag Team titles alongside Bishop Dyer (fka Baron Corbin).

Dijak made his debut for the Stamford-based company back in 2017 and started off his run in NXT. He was called up to the main roster back in 2020, repackaged as T-Bar which turned out to be a huge failure. He returned to NXT in 2022 as Dijak and was eventually released from WWE back in 2024. Since then, he has been very active in the independent wrestling circuit.

Last year, former WWE star Jeet Rama started his own wrestling promotion in India known as Wrestling Xtreme Mania (WXM) alongside Rishi and Dijak was one of their biggest signings. However, Jeet left the promotion back in March and just announced the launch of his new company Pro Wrestling Rebellion. AEW star Mansoor, Mark Dallas and Scott Filan are also involved with the new Indian Wrestling company.

Dijak made a huge announcement by revealing that he has now signed a contract with Pro Wrestling Rebellion. The announcement has raised several questions since the 39-year-old star also continues to appear on weekly episodes of WXM Ground Zero and is a major star in that promotion as well. It is still unclear if Dijak has left WXM since he never announced his official departure unlike Jeet, Mansoor and others.

“So excited to continue to grow and expand the INCREDIBLE pro wrestling scene in India. The Best Wrestler on Planet Earth is returning to India and joining the Rebellion!” He wrote.

It will be interesting to see what is next for the former Retribution member in this new Indian Wrestling company.

WWE has signed a lot of new stars this year

Every year, WWE tries to expand their roster by signing new stars to the main roster and NXT. It’s still May but a lot of new names have already joined the company’s roster. On the Road to WrestleMania, the company signed names like Royce Keys (fka Powerhouse Hobbs) and Danhausen to the main roster.

Over the last few weeks, several new stars also made their debut on NXT. Some big names included former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion EVIL who is now known as Naraku, Mason Rook (fka Will Kroos) and Lizzy Rain. Hiromu Takahashi is also rumoured to have already signed with the Stamford-based company.

Fans are looking forward to seeing all these stars regularly on WWE programming from now.
