Jeff Gordon’s wife, Ingrid Vandebosch, took a trip down memory lane and recalled their Met Gala attendance over the years. Ingrid’s reflection comes amid Carson Hocevar’s surprise debut at the event.
It’s been 15 years since the last time a NASCAR driver attended the Met Gala. Gordon made his fourth and final appearance alongside his wife in 2010.
Thanks for the submission!
Gordon had a rather middling season that year. Driving Hendrick Motorsports No.48 Chevy, he failed to score a win despite leading multiple races. The four-time Cup champion remains with the team as their Vice Chairman, making him next in line to team owner Rick Hendrick.
With Hocevar attending this year’s Met Gala, Ingrid shared snapshots from her time at the event, writing,
“Looking back, attending the Met Gala four times has truly been an incredible experience“
Carson Hocevar made headlines after his viral celebration at Talladega. The iconic moment warranted his presense at the famed Met Gala. He gracced the event with a grey Christian Diro suit.
When asked about his dream interaction at the festival, Hocevar replied,
“If somehow or another I get to pass by Sabrina Carpenter, that would be a tie on my list.”
The Cup driver also shared that he wasn’t that confident wearing a suit. Vendebosch, meanwhile, isn’t new to fashion scene. She’s a former model of Belgian descent, who met Jeff Gordon through mutual friends in 2002. They began dating two years later and got married in 2006 in New Mexico.
The couple are proud parents to two children, Ella Sofia, born in 2007, and Leo Benjamin, born in 2010. Gordon currently serves as the Vice President of Hendrick Motorsports.
Jeff Gordon shares update on Tom Cruise’s Days of Thunder sequel
Jeff Gordon recently shed light on the Days of Thunder sequel. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, who greenlit the 1990 original as well. The sequel follows the trend of another massively successful sequel, Top Gun: Maverick.
In a recent interaction at Milken’s Institute, Gordon dropped subtle hints on the new venture.
“All I can say is that there have been a team at the track, taking notes, gathering information, meeting with drivers and teams, and a writer who’s working on something to move it into the future.”
In an earlier interview back in March, Gordon recalled his recent interaction with Tom Cruise, saying,
“I saw Tom one or two years ago. He actually brought it up then. We were just laughing bit. He said, No, I’m serious, this is going to happen. When Tom Cruise says that, you take it serious. That would be exciting to see the sport to be able to be a part of that.”
On the Cup front, Jeff Gordon praised Chase Elliott’s No.9 outfit for a ‘flawless’ performance at Texas Motor Speedway.
