WWE star Bayley recently reminisced about a major incident a few years back involving Sasha Banks, aka Mercedes Mone. The two stars have been good friends for over a decade. Starting from NXT, they rose to the top together. However, they are on different paths now, as the CEO is currently part of AEW, and the Role Model is in alliance with Lyra Valkyria. Fans want the veteran to join AEW, but that doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon.

Sasha Banks and Bayley held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship during the Thunderdome era. Fans enjoyed their matches. Unfortunately, in September 2020, Bayley betrayed Sasha as they couldn’t win the tag titles back. The brutal moment is still talked about as one of the best moments in the company.

Recently, Bayley reacted to the betrayal on X, claiming that she betrayed Sasha Banks because the latter held her down. Many are wondering if she is hinting at turning on her current partner, Lyra, too.

Fans claimed that she could still betray Sasha Banks once again if she becomes All Elite in the future. Many also claimed that Mercedes deserved that beating. Also, fans are urging the Role Model to bring back the same intensity on TV right now.

Bayley talks about Mercedes Mone before WrestleMania 42

At WrestleMania 42, the Role Model and Lyra Valkyria challenged for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, they didn’t win the gold that night.

Ahead of her match, the WWE star took to Instagram and talked about her reign with Mercedes Mone and discussed what she represented during the reign.

“When we fought to bring the tag titles into existence, it wasn’t because we wanted more gold or more championships. It was not only for more opportunities but because of what they represent. – Mercedes and I imagined not only what these titles can do for our division, but how it would impact little girls watching at home. We imagined two best friends seeing the tag team division and dreaming of making it together,” she wrote.

It will be interesting to see if the two stars will ever reunite down the line.
