AEW star Rebel recently provided a heartbreaking update about her health. Chris Jericho, Deonna Purrazzo, and other stars have reacted to her update.
Rebel has been having a lot of serious health issues for the past few years. She was hospitalized in 2024 for what was suspected to be cryptococcal pneumonia and was put on antifungals for a year. However, this initial diagnosis turned out to be incorrect. The doctors at the Mayo Clinic then diagnosed her with primary pulmonary lymphoma, a rare form of lung cancer. During this time. She developed a functional neurological disorder, causing her to have mobility loss, slurred speech, and hand dysfunction.
Recently, Rebel took to Instagram to reveal that the doctors finally found out what was wrong with her. She said she has been diagnosed with terminal ALS. She doesn’t know how long she has left, but she thanked Tony Khan and AEW for their support as she broke down in tears.

Ricochet recently took a shot at Chris Jericho
When Jericho returned to AEW after a year-long absence, he was involved in a feud with Ricochet. The two men locked horns in a singles match at AEW Dynasty 2026. The One and Only star was able to defeat Jericho with the Lionsault.
Following the match, AEW cameras caught up with Ricochet, who did not mince his words as he took some shots at the former World Champion.
“All my frequent flyers out there, this is your captain speaking. And what did I say? What did I say, huh? What did I say? What did I say, huh? I told Chris Jericho, I said, pack it all up. I told him to get out of my ring and never come back to AEW again before he actually got himself hurt, didn’t I? That’s what I said. And what did he do? What did he do? He disregarded everything that I had to say. He signed his little contract, and what happened? The stupid idiot got himself hurt. And hey, not to disregard Chris Jericho, he’s one of the greatest to ever do it. He’s one of the greatest to ever do it. He’s one of my favorite wrestlers. Honestly, he still is to this day. But Chris Jericho, when you don’t listen to me, you get hurt. And that’s what happened.”
It remains to be seen if Jericho will get a rematch against Ricochet.
