Last Friday turned out to be Black Friday for the WWE Universe, as numerous superstars were released from the Stamford-based promotion. Some big names, including the entire Wyatt Sicks faction, Aleister Black & Zelina, Kairi Sane, and more, were let go.

One of the shocking names on the cut list, which stunned fans, was Nikki Cross, who had been part of The Wyatt Sicks faction since their debut in the Stamford-based promotion. She was not only loved by fans but also adored by her fellow superstars, and the reactions from both fans and fellow colleagues alike were enough to illustrate the love and support she received.

While the released superstars’ stint with the sports entertainment juggernaut has come to an end, they still have many opportunities in the indie wrestling circuits and in other promotions like TNA and AEW. Now, there is some good news for Nikki, as it has come to fans’ attention that she has likely registered a new name and is planning a massive comeback.

It has been reported that under the company Best in the Galaxy Wrestling, LLC., new trademark filings have been made for the following: “Nikki Storm” and “The Best In The Galaxy.” Both are Nikki’s old wrestling name and nickname. It appears Cross would return to the wrestling ring immediately after completing her 90-day non-compete clause.

Nikki Cross’ emotional post following her WWE release

After her shocking release from the Stamford-based promotion, the former Women’s Tag Team Champion took to her official X/Twitter account to write an emotional farewell post marking the end of her World Wrestling Entertainment run for now, leaving behind all the memories.

“Goodbye and Thank you WWE. I’m really excited for whatever my next chapter will hold. Thank you all for the continued love and support. Special thank you to Robbie Brookside and William Regal for helping this dream come true. Thank you to the wrestlers, coaches, producers and all the backstage crew who make all this possible. To the amazing girls in locker room,” she wrote.
