A former WWE superstar has already found himself at the center of rumors of a potential AEW move following on the heels of getting released by the sports entertainment juggernaut. It appears, however, that multiple All Elite names, including Shawn Dean and seemingly even MJF, are wary of welcoming back the star in question, Aleister Black, to the Tony Khan-led company.
Back in 2021, when Malakai Black made his All Elite Wrestling debut, his initial booking and presentation was strong and promising enough for fans to expect him to become a main event fixture at some point. However, over the next few years, and barring certain exceptions, the House of Black leader was mostly confined to the tag and trios division. This had led to rumors claiming that the star was not co-operative with the booking he was offered in AEW, a fact which supposedly contributed to how his run in the promotion ended in 2025.
Black returned to WWE last year as well, although the Triple H-led company’s subsequent utilization of him over the course of his latest run led to many questioning the wisdom of his decision to leave AEW. Recently, news broke that WWE had released the Dutch grappler yet again, immediately sparking conjecture of an All Elite Wrestling return. However, it appears that talent from the Jacksonville-based company are not all on board with the prospect of Black’s comeback.
Replying to a fan on Threads asking the promotion to reform the House of Black with Malakai, his wife Zelina Vega, as well as original members Brody King and Buddy Matthews, The Infantry’s Shawn Dean simply responded:
“No,” wrote The Captain.

Although he did not directly reference any discussions of Black’s All Elite return, former AEW World Champion MJF also seemed to voice his opposition to the company bringing Malakai back, borrowing from Max Caster’s old social media activity to post on his Instagram story:
“We don’t want him!”

Whether Black will actually follow in Andrade’s footsteps for a shocking All Elite Wrestling return remains to be seen.
MJF is scheduled for a major AEW title match next week
Although his sights are still absolutely set on reclaiming his AEW Men’s World Championship from Darby Allin, MJF will have the opportunity to add a new accomplishment to his books next Wednesday on Dynamite, where he will be challenging Kevin Knight for his TNT Championship.
It remains to be seen whether Big Hebrew will be able to take down The Jet and head to Double or Nothing 2026 as the new face of TNT.
