Britt Baker has been absent from AEW TV for a while. Fans have now reacted to her absence.
Britt Baker was the first female performer to sign with AEW. Hence, she was considered one of the pillars of the company. Britt played a key role in elevating the women’s division during the company’s early years. Sadly, she had some health issues, which forced her to step away from the ring for a long time. When she returned, she had a brief feud with Mercedes Mone, but her booking was never the same. Additionally, there were rumors that she got into a backstage fight with MJF. Since November 2024, Baker has not been seen on AEW TV, and nobody knows the reason behind her absence. Tony Khan has also given vague and generic answers when asked about her absence.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion recently made an appearance on TV during the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, PA, where she was seen supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers. Following this, fans took to social media to comment on her continuous absence. Check out some of the reactions below:

Tony Khan clarified Britt Baker’s AEW status
Britt Baker’s sudden absence from AEW TV has come as a shock to many fans, especially since she was the face of the women’s division for the first couple of years. This has led many fans to wonder if she was still signed to Tony Khan’s company.
During a recent appearance on the Coach & Bro Show, Tony Khan confirmed that Baker was still under contract with AEW. He also noted that due to the limited TV time available, he has to rotate his roster.
“Well, I think, again, each wrestler is a case-by-case basis, but the people you named—I really liked having them in AEW, and in Britt’s case, she is a part of [All Elite Wrestling]. In Ricky’s case, he’s someone that wrestled here in the past… One thing you guys know very well—there’s a limited amount of hours. And one thing that’s been really good, that I think there’s been a real focus on, that the fans have noticed in [All Elite Wrestling] in the last year—there have been people that have come and gone—but I think the shows have had a really great flow.”
It remains to be seen when Britt Baker will return to AEW TV.
