A major WWE title match is reportedly scheduled for tonight’s episode of SmackDown at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Tonight’s show will be the first edition of the blue brand following WrestleMania 42 this past weekend.

According to a new report from WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, there will be a major title match tonight on SmackDown. R-Truth and Damian Priest have become a duo on SmackDown, and they recently captured the WWE Tag Team Championships from Solo Sikoa’s MFT faction. Wepa Up (Truth and Priest) will reportedly be defending the titles against MFT’s JC Mateo and Tama Tonga during tonight’s show.

Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley both used to be members of The Judgment Day but were kicked out at SummerSlam 2024. R-Truth always wanted to be a member of the faction but was never accepted as an official member. The legend took to social media earlier this week to suggest that The Judgment Day had reunited after learning that Ripley was moving to SmackDown. Ripley defeated Cargill to become the new WWE Women’s Champion at The Show of Shows.

Damian Priest reveals he was not a fan of major WWE WrestleMania storyline

SmackDown star Damian Priest shared that he was not a fan of WWE’s decision to add Pat McAfee to the storyline between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton on the road to WrestleMania 42.

Speaking with Gabby LaSpisa, The Archer of Infamy noted that he got along with McAfee but didn’t appreciate the company’s decision to add him to the storyline. Priest admitted that there were several people in the locker room who felt the same way.

“It sucks. Not a fan. You know, somebody who knows Pat, get along with him. But for me, that’s not my taste. I don’t think it helps anything. He didn’t need it. So for me, and I’m sure a lot of people aren’t going to be happy that I said that, but in the locker room specifically, like, a lot of us weren’t happy. And that’s real,” Priest said.
