Nia Jax has buried a 48-year-old megastar before WrestleMania 42. The WWE star is gearing up for a big match in Las Vegas this weekend.
Jax, known for his brawling style in the ring, isn’t pulling any punches when it comes to taking shots at NFL icon Tom Brady. The Patriots legend drew the ire of WWE stars after calling wrestling “cute” during an interview with Logan Paul last month.
Thanks for the submission!
Now, ahead of the Show of Shows, Jax and her tag team partner, Lash Legend, talked to Sports Illustrated, discussing how they are feeling heading into ‘Mania. The pair was then asked how they would describe Tom Brady in one word if he didn’t show up at the event after trash-talking WWE.
Legend went with the word “coward,” but Nia Jax went off on the NFL great.
“Botox. The people who know, know. A little botox, a little filler, a little nipple tuck. Wants to call us fake? Wants to call us fake? We clocked your fakeness a long time ago,” she said.
And she was not done. She then took a dig at Brady’s NFL success and brought up the infamous
“And let’s not talk about how they changed the rules to make you look better in the NFL. Let’s not go there. Deflategate. Deflategate,” she said.
Deflategate refers to the 2015 controversy in which Brady faced allegations that he ordered the footballs used by the New England Patriots to be deflated during their game against the Indianapolis Colts.
As a result, he was suspended for four games while his team was also slapped with a $1 million fine. The Patriots also had to forfeit two draft picks the following year.
Nia Jax and Lash Legend will defend the Women’s Tag Team championship at WrestleMania 42
Lash Legend and Nia Jax were paired together ahead of Survivor Series last year, and the duo has already found success.
On the February 27 episode of SmackDown, they won the women’s tag team title after beating Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. This also marked Jax’s third tag team title win in WWE.
Now, at WrestleMania 42, Jax and Legend, known as the Irresistible Forces, will put the championship on the line against The Bella Twins, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria in a Fatal Four-Way match.
