Iga Swiatek shared her thoughts after her first win at the Stuttgart Open as the clay season unfolded. The Pol expressed her excitement to build her game as she stepped into a new chapter of her career.

The 24-year-old entered the clay season with a quiet but significant reset, parting ways with her coach, Wim Fissette, and bringing in Francisco Roig to her team. Roig was a longtime figure in Rafael Nadal’s camp; he played a hands-on role in match preparation and daily training through some of the Spaniard’s most dominant years on the circuit.

Iga Swiatek has carried on the transition to the practice courts as well. She spent time at the Rafa Nadal Academy, embracing its routines, and even invited Nadal to join parts of her sessions as she prepared for her debut at the Stuttgart Open.

After defeating Laura Siegemund with a score of 6-2, 6-3, the Pol penned a message on Instagram while making an honest admission about building her game as the season progressed. She hoped to make steady improvements with every match while embracing the major transition on her professional front.

“I’m building my game step by step as I embrace this new chapter. Happy to have completed my first match here in Stuttgart. Thank you for the support, and I look forward to seeing you on Friday,” she wrote.

Furthermore, Swiatek thanked her fans for their continued support and expressed her excitement for her next match scheduled on April 17, 2025.
