The Tennessee Titans made a major offensive move in the offseason, signing Wan’Dale Robinson to a four-year, $70-million contract. However, he may not be the only prolific wideout the team needs.

In a recent feature, ESPN draft expert Jordan Reid opined that coach Robert Saleh and general manager Mike Borgonzi, despite having a Top-4 pick, might wait until Round 3 or 4 to add a pass catcher. In that case, the likeliest target is Georgia State’s Ted Hurst.

The #Titans will likely wait till Round 3 or 4 to take a wide receiver, with Georgia State’s Ted Hurst being a frequent name coming up in discussions, per @Jordan_Reid. #TitanUp

That notion was also held by The Athletic’s Nick Baumgardner.

A native of Georgia who has spent his entire playing career in the state so far, Hurst initially began his playing career at Valdosta State, amassing 60 receptions for 1,027 yards and ten touchdowns.

After two seasons with the Blazers, he moved to Atlanta and immediately broke out, catching 56 passes for 96 yards and nine touchdowns (a Panthers record), and was named to the All-Sun Belt second team.

In 2025, he validated his dominance, notching 76 grabs for 1,004 yards and six touchdowns, and was named to the All-Sun Belt first team.

Proposed trade gives Titans recent All-Pro TE

Of course, wide receiver is not the only need for the Titans, and not their biggest. Tight end is another priority after Chig Okonkwo departed for the Washington Commanders in free agency.

To that end, Fox Sports’ Ralph Vacchiano posits Nashville sending the 35th and 101st picks to the Atlanta Falcons for Kyle Pitts:

“The Titans are all about the development of QB Cam Ward, but they’re still a bit thin on players for him to throw to. … (Pitts is) 6-foot-6, 250 pounds and still only 25 years old. A second- or third-round pick is reasonable, especially since the Titans can absorb a big deal for him much better than the Falcons can.”

Pitts, who was named an All-Pro for the first time in 2025 after covering 928 yards on 88 catches – the most since his explosive 2021 debut, is currently on the franchise tag after playing out his five-year rookie deal.
