Angel Reese will be starting a new journey as an Atlanta Dream player next season. The Chicago Sky traded their superstar center to the Dream on Monday for a 2027 first-round pick and a 2028 first-round pick. Reese vs Caitlin Clark has become one of the most-watched matchups in the WNBA.

However, now that Reese is not on the Sky, the two superstars will be facing each other sooner than expected. The Fever will be hosting the Atlanta Dream at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on June 4th. The game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the game on the WNBA League Pass with a subscription.

The Dream will take on the Fever in back-to-back games four games after their initial matchup of the season. Those games will be held on 18th and 19th June. The fourth and last matchup of the season between the Dream and the Fever will be held at State Farm Arena on Aug. 16.

Angel Reese delivered a good individual season for the Sky last season. She averaged 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists on 45.8% shooting. However, the Sky finished in 12th place in the standings last season with a 10-34 record.

“Beyond grateful”: Angel Reese shares her thoughts on playing for the Atlanta Dream

Angel Reese shared her thoughts on playing for the Atlanta Dream soon after the Sky made the trade on Monday. The two-time All-Star expressed her gratitude for having an opportunity to restart her career.

“I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to join the Atlanta Dream organization,” she said. “I’m focused on continuing to grow my game, competing at the highest level, connecting with the fans, and giving everything I’ve got to the Dream.”

Atlanta Dream’s general manager Dan Padover praised the former Sky superstar in a statement.

“Angel is a dynamic talent and a perfect fit for what we are building in Atlanta,” Padover said. “She has already proven herself as one of the most impactful players in the league, and her competitiveness, production and drive to win align seamlessly with our vision. This is an exciting moment for our organization and our fans.”

The Dream had a succesful run last season. They finished in third place in the standings with a 30-14 record. However, the Indiana Fever eliminated them (1- 2) in the first round of the playoffs.
