Tony Khan and AEW may have a new intriguing collaboration opportunity, as an ex-WWE talent has shown interest in teaming up with the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Tony Khan and his promotion have come a long way since debuting on the wrestling scene in 2019. The Jacksonville-based promotion faced a tough challenge establishing itself, mainly because of WWE’s dominance in professional wrestling, especially in North America. That said, Khan has worked hard over the years to ensure AEW creates its own niche, not just to compete with the Stamford-based promotion but to actively rival and even surpass it in certain areas. In the wake of All Elite Wrestling’s success, WWE veteran Vince Russo has shown interest in working with the company.
Recently, Vince Russo has faced online criticism, with people claiming he has made nasty comments about AEW in the past. Russo, in his response, defended himself by saying he doesn’t watch the product to criticize it. He also dismissed claims that he wanted a job with Tony Khan’s promotion, clarifying that he is already employed with Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW). However, in last night’s episode of his Coach and Bro podcast, the veteran mentioned that he would be open to a collaboration between JCW and All Elite Wrestling if it benefited both sides.
“If there is ever a chance to collaborate with Tony and maybe do something together where JCW and AEW can both benefit, absolutely I would welcome that with open arms,” Russo said (5:13 – 5:29)

AEW President Tony Khan recently agreed to appear on Coach and Bro
Tony Khan and his promotion, All Elite Wrestling, have faced criticism ever since he founded the company in 2019. One regular critic was Vince Russo, who has recently shifted his focus toward WWE. In an interesting turn of events, Khan recently praised JCW lunacy, saying he enjoys watching the product. Following his comments, Russo, who is part of JCW, invited the AEW CEO to join him and Jonathan Coachman on the Coach and Bro podcast for an interview.
A few days later, Khan shockingly accepted the invitation, and fans should be ready to tune in as the interview will happen tonight at 4:30 PM ET. It will be interesting to see what kinds of questions Khan will face about Coach and Bro, and whether he will be interested in a collab between JCW and All Elite Wrestling in the future.
