Triple H has helped WWE scale new heights since becoming the Chief Content Officer and head of creative on the main roster. However, over the past year, some of his booking decisions have not sat well with viewers. Recently, a DX member jokingly alleged that the company was looking to fire The Game after WrestleMania 42.
The name in question is Billy Gunn. He was part of D-Generation X alongside Road Dogg, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, X-Pac, and Chyna. While Billy is currently signed to AEW, The Game and the WWE creative team are preparing to host WrestleMania 42 later this month in Las Vegas.
Thanks for the submission!
Ahead of the show, fans have criticized Triple H for certain decisions, like Carmelo Hayes’ booking and Drew McIntyre’s unexpected Undisputed WWE Title loss to Cody Rhodes. This has led to speculation about the Hall of Famer’s future as the main roster’s head of creative.
Billy Gunn and Road Dogg recently appeared at a signing for Signed By Superstars. During the appearance, Gunn jokingly said he had heard WWE was looking to fire The King of Kings after The Showcase of the Immortals.
“We could have Hunther sign this [referring to a poster] after ‘Mania. I heard you’re firing him after ‘Mania,” Gunn said.

Triple H prevented two WWE megastars from brawling on RAW
Triple H has primarily stayed away from WWE storylines since becoming the Chief Content Officer and retiring from in-ring competition. However, in a rare appearance, he showed up on this week’s RAW to prevent a brawl.
Brock Lesnar recently issued an open challenge for WrestleMania 42. Nearly three weeks ago, Oba Femi accepted the challenge and attacked The Beast Incarnate on RAW. The Ruler once again managed to overpower Lesnar on last week’s edition of the red show.
This past Monday, Femi and the former UFC champion came face-to-face and seemed all set to brawl. However, The Game showed up and separated the duo to protect one of the most-anticipated bouts at this year’s WrestleMania. The Ruler and The Beast Incarnate will lock horns at The Show of Shows later this month.
