The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the sixth match of IPL 2025 on Thursday, April 2, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
We were forced to deviate from our transfer plan when Mayank Yadav sat out the LSG-DC clash, but his replacement, Mohsin Khan, fared quite well and was unlucky not to pick up more points.
Sadly, the same couldn’t be said about our captain and vice-captain picks, KL Rahul and Aiden Markram, as the poor start to the season continues.

1) Aiden Markram (LSG) (ALL) (10 Credits) – OUT | Travis Head (SRH) (BAT) (10 Credits) – IN
Doubling up on openers isn’t something we normally do, but given how poor the start to the season has been, it is a move we’re considering. We intend to play the ‘Foreign Stars’ booster in Match 10 – SRH vs LSG, and bringing in Travis Head for this match makes it easier to set our team up for that.
We’re also quite aware of Heinrich Klaasen’s stellar record against KKR and did consider going for him instead, but bringing in Head has made it easier to plan future transfers in terms of team structure, and that’s why we’re likely to back the Aussie opener over the Proteas keeper.
Aiden Markram is the player making way for Head, although he could well be back for LSG’s next game when we play the booster.
