A former WWE World Champion is set for his AEW in-ring return after months, and Jim Ross expressed his excitement. The legend will be in a major title match at the upcoming pay-per-view.
Jim Ross shared his thoughts on the in-ring return of WWE Hall of Famer, Adam Copeland (fka Edge). Copeland last wrestled in a tag match against FTR, where he teamed with Christian Cage at AEW All Out in September 2025. Following months of absence, the Rated “R” Superstar made his blockbuster return alongside Christian at Revolution 2026.
Following their return at Revolution 2026, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage have been announced for the AEW World Tag Team Championship match against FTR at the upcoming Dynasty pay-per-view on April 12th. Meanwhile, Jim Ross seems very excited about the return of the legendary tag team.
Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Ross said that he is glad that Copeland and Christian are back, and they will have a great match regardless of who they are in the ring with:
“I’m glad they’re back in the hunt. Edge and Christian will have a great match no matter who they’re working with, but I’m sure they’ll get a good draw on that deal so to speak. They’ll have a lot to say about what’s going to happen in the match. So, I think that’s smart, that’s good.”
Jim Ross deems WWE Hall of Famer’s return match as good booking
In the same podcast, Jim Ross also praised the booking decision of WWE Hall of Famer, Adam Copeland (fka Edge), teaming with Christian Cage in his return match against FTR:
“So, I think that’s good booking, I think it’s real good booking and we’ll see how it pans out. But on paper, it looks like a hell of a booking. And I think it should be a wonderful match, absolutely wonderful match.”
It remains to be seen if the erstwhile Edge and Christian would capture the AEW World Tag Team titles at Dynasty 2026.
