On Sunday, March 29, Gary Woodland bagged the Masters invite after winning the Houston Open 2026. The veteran golfer qualified for the first major of the season after beating Nicolai Hojgaard by a five-stroke margin.
Woodland entered the final day at the Memorial Park Golf Course in quest of his first win in seven years. Besides, there was another thing on the cards: the prestigious Masters invite. The veteran golfer held his nerves and fired 3-under 67 to claim his sixth win on the PGA Tour.

Gary Woodland earned $1.782 million for his first win since 2019. He also bagged the invite to Augusta after missing one last year. Besides Woodland, Daniel Berger, Jake Knapp, and Matt McCarty have also made it to the first major of the season.
On the other hand, the likes of Rickie Fowler, Michael Thorbjornsen, and Will Zalatoris are among the notables who have not made it to the field yet. Thorbjornsen was quite close to the invite but slipped to T14 after shooting 72 on Day 4. On the other hand, Fowler and Zalatoris missed the cut and are officially out of the field.
