This week’s AEW Collision witnessed a heartbreaking moment when a top star suffered an injury during his match. Now, some reports have emerged that give more clarification on the star’s condition following the end of the show.
The star in the light of concern is Kyle Fletcher. The TNT Champion teamed up with Mark Davis to take on The Rascalz on the latest edition of AEW Collision. While Fletcher managed to pick up the win for his team, he sprained his ankle during the match. Earlier, it looked like a normal injury that might not hurt Fletcher’s momentum, but now reports suggest that it could be something critical.
According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer, The Protostar left the arena following the show in a walking boot. It makes it clear that the injury is legitimate, and Fletcher was having problems while walking on his own.
The 27-year-old has been having a tremendous run as the TNT Champion in All Elite Wrestling. It will be interesting to see how things will unfold for him from here on due to this massive setback ahead of big pay-per-view events like Dynasty and All In.
Kyle Fletcher is eyeing the AEW World Championship in 2026
Kyle Fletcher has become one of the fastest rising stars in all of pro-wrestling. Over the past year, he managed to become a two-time TNT Champion and had fantastic matches against stars like Hangman Page and Will Ospreay. However, in 2026, The Protostar is eyeing the AEW World Championship in the company.
Speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Fletcher said that throughout his life, he has worked hard to achieve a single dream, and that is to become a world champion. He expressed his confidence, saying he is destined to take himself to the top position of pro-wrestling down the line.
“I want that moment where it just feels like your entire life’s work is paid off in one moment by winning that World Title. I think that is ultimately what my dream was. I knew I was meant to do this, and I knew I was meant to be at the very top of the industry,” said Fletcher. [H/T: Fightful]
