Frances Tiafoe’s girlfriend Ayan attended the American ATP star’s second-round match at the ongoing 2026 Miami Open. She later shared her disapproval of some fans cheering for Tiafoe’s opponent on the day, Arthur Cazaux of France, via a playful video.

On Saturday, March 21, Tiafoe locked horns with Cazaux on the Butch Buchholz court at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium. The former World No. 10 American registered a 7-6(1), 6-1 victory over the Frenchman, and while there was significant support from the crowd for the home hope, there were some who wanted Cazaux to take the contest the distance.

Not impressed with those who were backing the Frenchman, Frances Tiafoe’s girlfriend Ayan Broomfield took to her Instagram and shared a reel of herself. The in-video caption read:

“When I’m at my boyfriend’s tennis match and people start cheering for the other guy”

In the video itself, the Canadian lip-synced to the audio of former Peloton instructor Kendall Toole from a viral clip in which Toole called for a user with an allegedly offensive username to be banned from her class. The audio went:

“Get ’em banned. We don’t do that here. Oh, now I’m pissed”

Tiafoe and Broomfield’s romance began in 2015 and since then, the lovebirds have been incredibly supportive of each other. Broomfield frequently attends Tiafoe’s matches, while the American encourages the Canadian to pursue her interests in fashion and business. Interestingly, Broomfield used to be a tennis player herself, and made quite the name for herself in college tennis.

Frances Tiafoe won’t have it any easier in the third round of men’s singles action at the 2026 Miami Open. The No. 19 seed’s next opponent at the prestigious annual hardcourt event’s ATP Masters 1000 tournament is none other than the defending champion, Jakub Mensik. Tiafoe and Mensik’s only previous meeting ended with the Czech coming out on top in a Round Robin clash in the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers.

Last year, the young Czech star defeated former World No. 1 and 24-time Major winner Novak Djokovic in the Miami final. Even though Tiafoe can count on significant home support, he will have to produce the best of his aggressive counterpunching game to neutralize the threat of Mensik’s powerful serve and clinical two-handed backhand.

If the American does get the better of the Czech, he will go on to face either either Felix Auger-Aliassime or Terence Atmane in the fourth round.
