Joe Burrow seemingly cannot catch a break even in exhibition games, if Saturday’s scene is any indication.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback was a co-captain of the Wildcats during the Fanatics Flag Football Classic that was held at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. During the first half of a game against Team USA, he caught a pass from Jayden Daniels and was tackled while attempting to dive into the end zone.

It led Kevin Burkhardt, who was calling the game alongside Greg Olsen for Fox, to say:

“All Bengals fans going, ‘Okay, Joe. Let’s not have that. We don’t need that today.'”

Indeed, the comments reflected it:

@PlutoCooked He’s 100% getting injured by mid October again

@JustinPenik @autyelmore Irresponsible

@joeyb_9updates Yeah bro time to take him out

@joeyb_9updates Joe is made of glass, he has no business being out there

@joeyb_9updates I don’t think I would risk my career on this dumb game

he’s doing this bc he wants to aks for that trade to the rams so bad

The Wildcats ultimately lost that game 39-14, with Burrow having a touchdown to Davante Adams against a pick-six to Isiah Calhoun.

Skip Bayless: Tom Brady “jealous” at Joe Burrow after jab at Bengals QB

During Wednesday’s draft for the Fanatics game at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, Tom Brady joked about Joe Burrow‘s appearance alongside the likes of Alix Earle at the Academy Awards afterparties:

“That’s what they called Joe the other night at those Oscar parties — ‘Wildcat.’ At least he’s here — no fashion shows to attend to.”

While most fans would take it in jest, Skip Bayless had a more sinister take. Reacting to the comment on “The Arena: Gridiron”, he said:

“Tom Brady is jealous. People (the magazine), they reported that at the Super Bowl that Tom Brady and Alix Earle were hooking up, and then we saw the picture on Oscar night, and then up on stage, Tom just takes a shot… it’s just clear to me it’s because (Burrow)’s hanging out with Tom’s girl.”

The Wildcast later defeated the Founders 34-26 to secure a championship rematch against Team USA. Burrow in particular shone there, connecting with Odell Beckham, Jr., Saquon Barkley and Davante Adams for a touchdown each.
