After three back-to-back IndyCar race weekends to begin the 2026 season, the team and drivers have the opportunity to step away from the American open wheel racing series for a week before getting back to racing next week at the Barber Motorsports Park. However, a handful of drivers decided to step in and race at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship takes to the Sebring International Raceway for the second race of the season. Multiple IndyCar drivers participated in the season opener, i.e., the 24 Hours of Daytona (also known as the Rolex 24 at Daytona).

Josef Newgarden, Scott McLaughlin, Alex Palou, Scott Dixon, Kyle Kirkwood, Louis Foster, and Nolan Siegel were some of the drivers who turned their attention to IMSA for the 24 Hours of Daytona before the IndyCar season began.

However, at the 12 Hours of Sebring, only a handful of drivers are participating. Let’s have a look at all the IndyCar stars racing at Sebring this weekend.

#1 Alex Palou

The four-time IndyCar champion Will partner with Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly for the #93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian entry in the GTP class and will be driving the Acura ARX-06. Alex Palou raced for Meyer Shank in 2025 and 2026 at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

#2 Scott Dixon

Three-time Rolex 24 at Daytona winner Scott Dixon will be back in the Acura Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian entry for the 12 Hours of Sebring. The Kiwi driver has been racing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as a part-time entry for over two decades.

Scott Dixon will be partnering with Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun to race the #60 Acura ARX-06 in the GTP class.

#3 Kyle Kirkwood

The Andretti Global driver will be driving in the GTD Pro class for Vasser Sullivan Racing at the 12 Hours of Sebring. The 2026 Grand Prix of Arlington winner raced for the same team at the 24 Hours of Daytona earlier this year. Kyle Kirkwood will partner with Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat and will drive the #14 Lexus RC F GT3.

#4 Callum Ilott

Although Callum Ilott hasn’t made an IndyCar start in 2026 due to PREMA Racing’s financial difficulties, the Italian team plans on returning to the sport later in the season.

Ilott will partner with Adam Adelson and Tom Sargent to race in the GTD class for Wright Motorsports and will be driving the #120 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992).

#5 Colton Herta

Despite moving away from IndyCar to race full-time in F2, Colton Herta is reportedly in the running to race the fourth Andretti Global at the Indy 500. The American will be racing alongside Jordan Taylor and Louis Deletraz for Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing in the #40 Cadillac V- Series.R.
