Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship has created a lot of attention for the NFL and most recently even a new youth flag football team. On Wednesday, the NFL shared an Instagram post on a girls flag football team that was started in 2024 called the “KC Swifties.”
The flag football players were in first grade when they started the team after being inspired to watch the NFL after Swift and Kelce began dating. The girls create Swift themed banners before each game and replaced their names on the jersey with song titles.

The Kansas City Chiefs replied to the Instagram post, sharing their love for the team.

“Love this ❤️,” the Chiefs replied.
In just their second season in the fall of 2025, the KC Swifties made it to their championship game.

Travis Kelce said fiancée Taylor Swift ‘motivates’ him to continue his NFL career
Last Monday Travis Kelce signed a one-year worth $12 million deal to return to the Chiefs. The following day he made an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” and spoke about his decision to return for his 14th season.
Kelce credited his fiancée, Taylor Swift, for being his motivation to continue playing football. He said that watching her continue to work at her craft led him to the decision.
“That’s motivating for anybody let alone my fiancée! We share the same love for what we do, we’ve had this desire since we were kids. It’s amazing to see her keep going to the table, keep finding new things to write about, keep finding new melodies and on top of that still seeing her have that love and joy in what she does. Of course that’s motivating! That’s motivating for anybody let alone my fiancée!” Kelce said.
Kelce also said that he made the decision to return about midway through the 2025 season. He said he waited to announce his return for a few months to make sure he was happy with the decision.
