A high school math teacher accused of putting his hand inside a female student’s waistband while they were alone inside of a classroom has a history of alleged inappropriate behavior at other Connecticut school districts, according to court documents.

Darien High School teacher Sean Boardman, 59, of Westbrook, was arrested on January 30 in connection with the alleged incident involving the student, which was reported to have occurred while he was tutoring her in November, according to authorities, WFSB reported.

He is charged with risk of injury to a child, court records viewed by Us Weekly show.

Court records did indicate whether Boardman had retained legal representation as of the afternoon of Tuesday, February 10.

According to the arrest warrant obtained by WTNH, a female student told investigators that Boardman inappropriately touched her on November 21, when she met with him before school for math support.

She found the classroom’s blinds were fully closed when she arrived, the warrant says. After she went inside, the classroom door allegedly stayed closed, WTNH reported, citing the filing.

The student said that while alone with Boardman in the classroom, he touched and moved her necklace, as well as her hair, according to the arrest warrant viewed by WTNH. Then, when he allegedly asked her about her previous hip injury, she accused him of placing his hand inside her waistband, the warrant says.
