Jon Moxley’s Death Riders have been a dominant faction in AEW for a long time now. The Purveyor of Violence recently teased adding a surprising name to his stable in the future.
The aforementioned star, who is part of the CMLL promotion, is Kemalito. He has portrayed a midget mascot for the wrestling company and has gained popularity for his appearance and antics. At the same time, he has worked with top names such as Mistico and Último Guerrero during his tenure.
During an interview on the All Elite Show, Jon Moxley was asked about Kemalito. To the surprise of many, Moxley was familiar with him and had seen his work.
“I do. Very familiar with his work.” said Moxley
When the host asked about adding him to The Death Riders, the former WWE superstar revealed that the group had seriously considered the idea, and Moxley used a funny example to say that Kemalito could come in handy for him in the faction.
“I’ve thought about it very seriously … I’m like 6’2, and a lot of times I’m seeing everything from up high. So, things are going down, going on down here that I can’t see. I could just be walking, I could be tripped. You know, I could be trip and fall like a cat if I was walking across the street, if there was like a cat, you know, got to lose in Arena Mexico, and I could trip and fall, but he, he can [doing Kemalito impression], so that’s something we might have to seriously consider.”
AEW star Jon Moxley namedropped on WWE RAW this week
The opening segment of the March 23 episode of RAW featured Paul Heyman and name-dropping opponents who failed to defeat Brock Lesnar to build up for his upcoming match against Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42. In doing so, he mentioned Jon Moxley by his former name, Dean Ambrose, which led to a huge pop from the audience.
The former World Champion left WWE in 2019 to join Tony Khan’s company and seemingly took his popularity and fame to the next level as a top AEW star.
