Former Manchester United and Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has asked Liverpool to make a move for an attacker from a club that has been relegated from the Premier League.

West Ham attacker Jarrod Bowen is expected to leave the Hammers after the club suffered relegation from the Premier League. A host of top PL clubs are reportedly eyeing up a move to sign the English winger this summer. Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Newcastle are reportedly keen on signing the 29-year-old star in the summer.

Bowen has had a stellar career at West Ham. In his 280 appearances for the club, he scored 85 goals and provided 63 assists. He also played a pivotal role in their 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League triumph.

Former Man United keeper Ben Foster has asked Liverpool to make a move for Bowen in the summer. Speaking on his podcast, The Fozcast, Foster claimed the English winger would improve the Reds if they decided to sign him. He said (via Metro):

“I’d love to see him with Liverpool because I think he would do an absolutely fantastic job, he’s tried and tested, and you know he’s going to do the job.

“But no, he’s not [going to be a like-for-like Mohamed Salah replacement] and I get the impression fans would see it not as a progression, a sideways step.

“They want the £90m player that plays for Inter Milan, who is up and coming, who is Brazilian, who is this and that. That’s what they want.”

He then added that Bowen had the ability to score 15-plus goals a season for the Reds if he joined them.

“Agreed, totally agree. There are all sorts of players getting linked now, the merry-go-round has just started in fairness.”

Liverpool star Alexander Isak reacts to Arne Slot sacking

Reds attacker Alexander Isak has given his take on the club’s decision to part ways with Arne Slot. Isak conceded that he was disappointed that the Dutchman was let go and wished him well for the future. He said (via Evening Standard):

“I’ve kind of disconnected from Liverpool now that I’m here [with Sweden],” Isak explained. “It’s always sad when a coach has to leave.

“[The manager is] usually the first position to change when things go badly.

“As I said, I don’t know much about what has happened or will happen. I wish him all the best.”
