3 times WWE fans went too far

WWE’s fan base is indeed one of the most passionate fan bases around the world, religiously following the business and the stars they admire. Superstars established in the Stamford-based promotion end up becoming mainstream pop icons and megastars in just a small period of time.

However, some fans do blur lines that should not be crossed, which often triggers other fans and sometimes even the stars themselves.

In this listicle, we take a look at three times when WWE fans disrespected boundaries and sparked a buzz within the professional wrestling industry.

#3. A fan refused to let go of the WWE Champion

Recently, Roman Reigns defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu in a rematch at WWE Clash in Italy 2026, a premium live event. His Tribal Chief title was on the line as well, as it was a Tribal Combat match.

The Original Tribal Chief showcased the levels of his game for the Tribal Wolf as he totally dismantled him and retained his title to remain the Tribal Chief. he also extended his record to 3-0 in Tribal Combat match-ups.

It was indeed a special moment for The Bloodline as The Usos came out and Jey put the Ula Fala on Reigns’s neck and also ordered Jacob to follow them as they moved backstage. With the loss, Fatu now had to serve Reigns as per the deal they made ahead of their match.

As the OTC, The Usos, and Fatu walked to the back, an ecstatic Reigns waved to the fans at the front. Then, in an awkward moment, one fan held on to Roman’s hand and refused to let go.

Jey Uso had to intervene to free the leader of the OG Bloodline.

#2. A fan crossed the line with Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill has become one of the biggest names in the Stamford-based promotion since turning heel, and has been improving with each passing day. She had a rematch against Rhea Ripley at the Clash in Italy premium live event for the WWE Women’s Championship, but fell short. Mami overpowered her once again, much like at WrestleMania, to retain the strap.

In August 2025, in an interview with the New Rory and Mal podcast, the host asked The Storm about her strangest fan meet-and-greet experience. The former Women’s Champion recalled an incident when a strange fan asked her to spit on him.

“There were a lot of men who legitimately wanted me to, like, punch them and step on them,” Cargill said. “One guy wanted me to spit on him. I felt so uncomfortable.” (H/T: WrestleZone.Com)

The Storm went on to reveal how the whole incident started.

“It all started because this one girl wanted me to choke her,” Cargill said. “I was like, ‘All right, girl, we can get the photo.’ That’s when I was doing the ‘step on me’ thing, but not actually stepping on people. It was just something I was saying. But this one guy wanted me to spit on him, degrade him, and stomp on him. I had heels on, and I was just like, ‘This is the weirdest thing.”

Big Jade then recalled that it was only after the fan started to get loud that she called for security.

“Then he was like, ‘OK,’ and I was like, ‘All right, I’ll put my heel on you,’ and I did. I’m like, ‘OK, this is funny.’ He was like, ‘Just spit on me, quick, quick,’ and he got louder. I was like, ‘Security, this is not it. Get this guy out of here.'” (H/T: WrestleZone.Com)

#1. Ex-WWE star revealed a fan had an intimate wish

Shelly Martinez, formerly known as Ariel during her rather short WWE run, is bold and never shies away from sharing intensely personal details with her fans.

Speaking on one of her Too Much Information (TMI) podcasts, she recalled one fan who made a rather strange wish while she provided online content. The fan wanted a “peep show” so that he could j**k off while she did it. She was appalled and wondered whether too much access to stars eventually made fans comfortable enough to make requests.

Here’s what she said:

“So this fan I had way back in the early and mid-2000s. He first started with CelebVMs, you know, like very nice, whatever, whatever. And of course, he joined my secret society. And then of course, he ordered custom content. Before I know it, he’s just like, ‘Can you do a little peep show for me and watch me j**k off while you do it?’ and it’s like, how did we get there? Like, how did we get from ‘so respectful in CelebVM’ and now you think it’s okay for you to ask… And he was like I’ll pay you 150 bucks,” Martinez said.

These were a few incidents when fans crossed the line with WWE stars. Stay tuned for more such content.
