WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns has spent more than a decade at the top of the sports entertainment juggernaut, headlining premium live events, breaking records, and establishing himself as one of the most dominant stars of his generation. While much of the attention surrounding the OTC has focused on championships and major rivalries, he recently added another major accomplishment to his legendary WWE career.

Since making his main roster debut in 2012, Reigns has been one of WWE’s most prominent stars. Over the last 14 years, he has competed against some of the biggest names in the industry, including Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, The Undertaker, and Cody Rhodes.

Much of Reigns’ success came during his historic run as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. His reign lasted for more than three years and helped establish The Tribal Chief character as one of the most successful acts of the modern era.

Now, congratulations are in order for Roman Reigns as he officially competed in his 1300th match for WWE, adding yet another achievement to the list that already places him among the most accomplished stars in company history.

Roman Reigns is reportedly injured heading into WWE Clash in Italy

At Backlash 2026, Reigns retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu after the OTC used an exposed turnbuckle to break Fatu’s Tongan De*th Grip and hit a Spear for the victory.

Fatu delivered a star-making performance despite losing and appeared to have Reigns on the run from that point forward. He again challenged the OTC for the World Heavyweight Title at Clash in Italy. The two will face off under the Tribal Combat rules, and if The Samoan Werewolf loses, he will have to acknowledge Reigns as the Tribal Chief.

On the go-home episode of Monday Night RAW, the champ was seen wearing an elbow brace, raising questions about his physical condition ahead of his scheduled appearance at the PLE. He also avoided any physicality with Fatu.

Despite the concern, WWE has not announced any change to Roman Reigns’ status. As things stand, the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion remains scheduled for the premium live event while fans wait for further updates on his condition.
