Joe Burrow has been attending the Cincinnati Bengals’ OTAs in preparation for the 2026 season. On Wednesday, Burrow appeared in front of the media and said he was excited to work with the team, while adding that the current crop of players is the most talented he has seen since the Bengals drafted him in 2020.
On Friday, former JUCO football coach Jason Brown offered a warning to Burrow about remaining healthy

“Is this guy gonna stay healthy for a whole season?” Brown said on Jason Whitlock’s “Fearless” podcast. “Like, he needs to look at himself and say, ‘If I can play, and I can say I’m right, they yeah, we’ve got a shot.’ Because he’s great and there’s no question about it.

“But I’ve kinda jumped off his bandwagon over the last eight months or so. We’re now talking about, if he gets hurt again, is he a bust? … That discussion has to start. … If he goes and gets hurt again, and misses another season, we’re gonna have a conversation.”

Joe Burrow, a two-time Pro Bowler, has had his share of injuries since entering the pro league. He has reportedly missed 22 regular-season games across six seasons.
Last season, Burrow missed nine games after suffering a Grade 3 turf toe injury early in the season that required surgery. The Bengals struggled without him and eventually failed to make the playoffs.
Burrow led Cincinnati to the Super Bowl in 2022, where it lost to the LA Rams at the final hurdle.
