Bright Software Group has announced that MyWorkpapers, its cloud-based workpapers platform for accounting practices in Australia, will now operate under the name BrightWorkpapers.
The change takes effect immediately and is part of a broader brand update that Bright rolled out globally this month.
According to the company, the new name aligns the MyWorkpapers brand with Bright following its acquisition in 2024.
In a press statement to International Accounting Bulletin, Bright said the rebrand will not affect the product, the team behind its development and support, or the customer experience.
Bright develops software for accounting and payroll professionals and has been operating in the sector for more than 20 years. In the UK and Ireland, its product range includes BrightPay, BrightTax, BrightBooks and BrightManager, which are used by accounting practices across those markets.
In Australia, the former MyWorkpapers product serves as Bright’s cloud-based workpapers offering for accounting and audit practices.
Richard Neal, chief transformation officer at Bright Software Group and MyWorkpapers founder, said: “This rebrand is about clarity and commitment and will be followed by other Bright products to the Australian market.
“BrightWorkpapers is the same product Australian accounting practices have trusted – built by the same people, supported by the same team. What changes is the name on the door, and that name now reflects clearly the organisation standing behind it.”
