Ronda Rousey took a major shot at WWE ahead of her MMA return. The former UFC star will be making her return to action on May 16 to battle Gina Carano for Most Valuable Promotion’s inaugural MMA event on Netflix.

In an interview with Complex, Ronda Rousey claimed Vince McMahon was difficult to work with during her time in WWE. She added that nobody knew what was going on during the shows, and everything was done at the last minute.

“The second run, Vince was just more far gone and more difficult to work with. There was a lot of inner turmoil going on in the company. It was kind of a sh*t show, and nobody ever knew what was going on,” she said.

Rousey added that being in the promotion was not worth the anxiety that came along with it, and she was in favor of Triple H taking over the creative process.

“I just look back at it and I just remember the anxiety of not knowing what was going on and then at the last minute, maybe we’d be able to pull it out of our a** and have a good night, and maybe not. I was definitely team Triple H to get up to take it over. I’ve heard it’s been much better since he’s taken things over, but unfortunately I didn’t get to experience it,” she added. Former WWE star Ronda Rousey discusses surprise AEW appearance

Ronda Rousey appeared at AEW Revolution 2026 to support her friend Marina Shafir and recently admitted that her showing up in All Elite Wrestling was a message to WWE.

Speaking on a vlog on YouTube, The Baddest Woman on the Planet noted that her AEW appearance was a message to the TKO Group. However, she also pointed out that her MMA fight was on Netflix, so both companies would benefit from the publicity.

“And it’s kind of a cool little bit of a, like, little bit of a fu*k you to the TKO group, which is kind of funny, because, um, uh, because WWE is on Netflix, but I kind of figured it’d be easier to ask for forgiveness instead of permission on this one. Like, I’m promoting your show, it’s fine. We didn’t advertise it; it’s not like we boosted the ratings of it, so it should be fine,” said Rousey.

Ronda Rousey on her AEW experience, loves that AEW is not PG like WWE: “I asked Marina, ‘hey, is AEW going to be in town while I’m promoting this fight? Because I’d love to do, like, a run-in or something and help you out.’ One thing I really love about AEW is that it’s not PG

Only time will tell if Ronda Rousey ever decides to have another wrestling match.
