Twitch star Imane “Pokimane” has opened up about having nightmares about the situation involving singer-songwriter David “D4vd,” and has spoken out about previously collaborating with him. For those unaware, D4vd has been making headlines since late April, when he was charged with first-degree murder under special circumstances after 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s body was discovered in a Tesla registered in his name in September 2025.
During a livestream on May 8, 2026, Pokimane discussed the matter, stating that talking about it made her “nervous.” While referring to D4vd as a “murderer,” the co-founder of OfflineTV (OTV) claimed that she had nightmares after reading headlines about the musician.
She said:
“One of those things was, obviously, all the news that’s come out about D4vd. Honestly, I was trying kind of not to talk about it. I don’t know if you guys have seen the details, but it is just… sorry, like, D-4-V-D, the artist. Even talking about it right now just makes me, like, it makes me nervous, and have, like, a pit in my stomach. I don’t know if you guys have seen much of the details, but it’s so gruesome and horrific.”
Pokimane added:
“I think constantly reading those headlines was really getting to me. Like, I was getting nightmares about it, and just thinking like this arrested murderer, pedophile was someone who was in my home, who connected me to many other people.”
“I’ve developed a bit of a fear of talking about stuff” – Pokimane talks about her appearance on D4vd’s music video
Pokimane continued the conversation by sharing her thoughts on those who had been “dissecting” D4vd’s videos and lyrics after he was charged with first-degree murder.
She then commented on her appearance in the music video for What Are You Waiting For, alongside Jason “Jasontheween,” saying:
“We have so many mutuals, like, no one suspected anything like that. And also, understandably so, people are, like, dissecting his videos and lyrics, and all the stuff. And since he had me in one of his music videos, I was like, ‘It does not mean anything.’ It was really getting to me. That, and to be honest, a lot of these things, I’m not really sure how to talk about on stream. I’ve developed a bit of a fear of talking about stuff.
Pokimane made headlines on April 1, 2026, when she spoke up on the rise of videos on X, claiming that she “throws cake for viewership.”
