Having four LCK slots at the League of Legends Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC), the first qualification process to join that event is ongoing. That said, Gen.G has already secured its spot, since the team won the respective tournament in 2025. Now, two Korean teams will qualify through this qualifier event, and one more will join them based on the Road to MSI results.
Among the nine teams participating in the EWC 2026 Korea qualifier, Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) is the first seed because of its Round 1 results in LCK 2026. Meanwhile, KRX and DN SOOPers will face off in a single-elimination Play-In battle to proceed to the main segment.

League of Legends EWC 2026 Korea qualifier: Match schedule
As mentioned before, only two teams from this online event will secure their spots at the EWC 2026 tournament. Also, Gen.G has already booked its spot, so whoever wins the Road to MSI event will qualify for the EWC. That said, if the Road to MSI event is won by one of the top two teams here at the EWC Korea qualifier or by Gen.G, the next best-performing team will attend the tournament.
Since KRX and DN SOOPers finished last in the LCK 2026 Regular Season Round 1, they will go through a Play-In clash.
