According to MARCA, PSG are keen on signing Joan Martinez this summer, and they’re pretty serious about it. Their sporting advisor, Luis Campos, is reportedly at the helm of the decision, having followed Martinez’s journey from an early age. The Parisians are reportedly ready for a strong negotiation and hope to bring Martinez in for their first team squad.
Further, any deal to sign Joan Martinez will reportedly not be similar to other academy talents, where the original club can usually preserve some player rights or a buy-back clause. PSG are reportedly aiming for a full, permanent transfer, which means Real Madrid will have no control over the defender’s future.
In the case of Los Blancos, they are reportedly unwilling to sell Joan Martinez, especially given their defensive woes in the first team. Eder Militao is expected to be out for a long period due to injury, while Dani Carvajal is on his way out this summer. Therefore, Martinez could be a key defensive talent for them, and it wouldn’t be easy for PSG to come to an agreement with the Spaniards.

The aforementioned report suggests that Hakimi is keen on returning to Real Madrid this summer for both personal and sporting reasons. Further, Los Blancos could fit him in their system given their defensive woes.
On PSG’s side, they are aware of Hakimi’s wishes. The Moroccan’s contract ties him to the Parisians until 2029, and they’d not be willing to part ways with him. However, they will negotiate with Los Blancos if Hakimi pushes for the move.
At this point, it depends on the Spaniards’ transfer plans this summer, which will be clear after the 2026 World Cup. Further, Real Madrid are also reportedly looking to bring in a new coach as Alvaro Arbeloa’s replacement, who could play a key role in their transfer plans this summer.
