Shedeur Sanders has accomplished something — and it is not related to his football career.

On Saturday, the Cleveland Browns quarterback graduated from the University of Colorado with a sociology degree. To commemorate the occasion, the school’s social media uploaded a video of him and his fellow soon-to-be alums just outside the venue:

“What’s up? We at graduation. It’s called excellence, man. It’s excellence.”

He also recreated the iconic scene of his Hall of Fame father Deion laying out his San Francisco 49ers uniform before Super Bowl XXIX, this time with his gown and cap:

In response, former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Asante Samuel put out this comment while also congratulating him:

“Did Shedeur join the Interdisciplinary Studies crew (embarrased emoji)”

Did Shedeur join the Interdisciplinary Studies crew 😅 Congratulations 👏

In two seasons in Boulder, Sanders threw for 7,364 yards and 64 touchdowns against 13 interceptions. He also rushed for six eight more times.

Analyst makes case for Browns starting Shedeur Sanders in 2026 season

The Browns’ 2026 offseason has been dominated by Shedeur Sanders’ showdown with Deshaun Watson for the starting job, and it has sparked a feud between his elder brother Shilo and Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot.

But while Cabot is batting for Watson, Fox Sports’ Eric Williams still believes in Sanders’ chances. In a recent feature, he outlined three reasons why new HC Todd Monken should go for the second-year player.

First are the offensive improvements in the draft, headlined by new left tackle Spencer Fano. They also selected wideouts KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston in the first and second round, respectively, and signed guard Zion Johnson and center Elgton Jenkins in free agency.

Second is cost-effectiveness, as Sanders is not yet even halfway into his rookie deal. If that proves not to be enough, there is a third reason: general manager Andrew Berry has nine picks in 2027, which he can use to make a move for a highly-touted prospect like Arch Manning or Dante Moore.

However, he also warns that the organization has not had the best record when it comes to first-round quarterbacks, dating back to Tim Couch and even encompassing Baker Mayfield.
