Without delving into spoiler territory, all you must know is that an Eclipse will be a mandatory part of progressing through every biome in Saros. You trigger it by interacting with a pedestal made up of multiple hands with a glowing orb on it.

Simply get close to the pedestal and press the Triangle button on your PlayStation 5 controller. Doing so will initiate a cutscene that brings out the Eclipse.

As mentioned previously, things will get significantly tougher for you in a biome when an Eclipse is active. During this period, the enemies will hit much harder, and their agility will also be increased for added challenge.

Moreover, the enemy attacks will also be altered to fire corrupted attacks. You must be careful of corruption built up, as it reduces the max integrity of your armour.

You should also note that if you try to block the corrupted attacks with Arjun’s shield, it will still build up the corruption. All of this makes combat much more difficult and intense.

Apart from the combat, there are also visual changes to the environment that signify that an Eclipse is in progress. Not only do you see an actual eclipse in the sky, but the biome now also spawns tendrils. Luckily, they do not harm Arjun, and there is no need to be wary of them.

While the above information may suggest that an Eclipse in Saros is quite a hostile event, you should note that there are some upsides to it as well. When an Eclipse is active, your Lucenite gain is heavily increased. Additionally, you also stand a chance to find corrupted artifacts that you can equip.

Overall, the Eclipse is quite challenging, and it is highly recommended to be prepared for the event before triggering it in the game.
