Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik was selected by the New York Jets on Saturday during Day 3 of the NFL Draft. The Jets traded up to secure him with the 110th overall pick in the fourth round.

Klubnik’s fiancée Macey Matthew was over the moon for her would-be husband. She shared her feelings about the big milestone and a selfie with the Jets rookie on Instagram story.

“LOVE YOU!!! SO PROUD!!!” Matthew wrote in the caption along with a tag for the New York Jets and two white heart emojis.

In the picture, Macey Matthew wore a white halter-style top with a gold ring detail on the shoulder strap. She also sported a New York Jets “alternate” logo hat (the green cap with the white “JETS” flight logo).

Cade Klubnik and Macey Matthew went Instagram official in June 2020.

They got engaged on “12.30.25” at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Macey Matthew announced the news on Jan. 4 via Instagram.

“Forever with my best friend. Our greatest answered prayer, thank you Jesus! The Klubnik’s loading soon!🤍,” she captioned the post.

Cade Klubnik enters a quarterback room currently led by veteran Geno Smith, who is under contract with the team for the 2026 NFL season. He is expected to compete immediately for the primary backup role against Brady Cook.

Klubnik left Clemson as a two-time ACC Championship Game MVP (2022, 2024).
