Twitch streamer and political commentator Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker recently touched on Capcom’s Pragmata, a sci-fi action-adventure game. Pragmata was announced in 2020 and was finally released in April 2026, following multiple delays, including an indefinite one in 2023. The game follows an astronaut named Hugh and a child-like android named Diana.
According to user @Pirat_Nation on X, many Pragmata players now wish to start families after playing the Capcom title. In a post, @Pirat_Nation wrote about the situation, mentioning Hugh and Diana’s relationship as a driving factor:
“Capcom’s Pragmata It’s making thousands of people suddenly want to start a family. You play as Hugh, a soldier stranded on a ruined lunar research station and your job is protecting the child-like android Diana while fighting rogue AI to get home. In one emotional moment, she gives him a crayon drawing of the two of them together as a little family. Even streamers who say at the start that they don’t like kids end up breaking down in happy tears. Many are openly admitting it made them want children of their own.”
HasanAbi reacted to this information confused, wondering why these gamers, or “unf**kable losers,” in his words, wanted to start families, considering that they would never have the experience of starting one:
“All these unf**kable losers in the gaming sphere always talk about starting families and stuff, and I don’t understand, like, why this is a thing that they care about. If you’re a gamer, you should care about things that you experience, you should care about things that you actually enjoy, right?”
He added, questioning these Pragmata players for caring about “having children”:
“If you’re a lonely gamer who’s never been around a woman, and will never have sex with a woman, why do you care about having children?.. If they changed Hot Cheetos… and you f**king freaked out about that, that makes sense.”
He concluded with a definitive statement, saying that these gamers would never have the family experience:
“As far as LARPing about starting families… This is something that I never understood. It’s just not something you’re going to experience for the rest of your life.”
“Japanese game, puttin’ a child in there…”: HasanAbi claims Capcom’s inclusion of a child-like character in Pragmata is “playing with fire”
In addition to his comments about Pragmata players wanting to start families, HasanAbi also spoke about how he felt Capcom’s decision to add a childlike Android as one of the game’s main characters is controversial:
“Japanese game, puttin’ a child in there, you’re playin’ with fire, okay? Don’t get mad at me for saying this, but I feel like any Japanese game, you put like, a child… It’s gonna invite maybe the worst possible fans. I’m sure the game is not like that, but there will be people who take it like that…”
In other news, HasanAbi opened up about “feeling gross” during his recent trip to Cuba.
