Updated driver’s points standings after FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway

Fifteen races have taken place in the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin secured his third win of the season after winning FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday, June 7.

In a Michigan race, Hamlin started from the rear of the field, worked his way up, and led late in the race to secure a win by a convincing margin of 11.11 seconds.

The 200-lap Michigan race is done and dusted. According to the drivers’ finishes in Sunday’s race, they received points, which will determine the top 16 playoff drivers after the 26-race regular season.

After winning the race, Denny Hamlin gained 58 points and maintained his second place in the points standings with 618 points. He is 289 points above the Chase bubble.

Tyler Reddick had a DNF result and gained just 12 points. Despite the first DNF of the season, he maintained the top spot in the NASCAR Cup Series points table, but the lead gap has been reduced to 51 points over second-place Hamlin.

The defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson finished fourth and gained 44 points. He moved to sixth place in the points standings with 453 points.

Carson Hocevar, who started on the front row, finished fifth. He gained 45 points and moved to seventh place in the points table with 428 points.

Hamlin stands second, followed by Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, Ty Gibbs, Kyle Larson, Carson Hocevar, Chris Buescher, Daniel Suarez, and Christopher Bell to round out the top 10 in the points standings.
